Here are just a few of the activities that Jost Van Dyke has to offer. Your stay at Evening Star Villas can be enhanced with private guided tours, snorkeling or scuba adventures, scenic hikes, boat charters or anything you can imagine! Jost is home to several small and quaint restaurants and bars. Here are a few of our recommendations.
Exclusive Guided Tour of Little Jost Van Dyke
Join Nippy, “The Traveling Salesman” and proprietor of Little Jost Van Dyke on an exclusive guided tour of Little Jost Van Dyke. This tiny island is the birthplace of Dr. John C. Lettsome the founder of the Royal Medical Society and William Thornton, the architect of the US Capitol Building.
Scenic Hike
Enjoy a scenic hike on one of the many trails that crisscross Jost. The map above shows the roads and trails on the island. Evening Star is located on one of the trails to White Bay.
The Bubbly Pool
Take a trip to the Bubbly Pool, a one-of-a-kind experience that you will rave about to your friends back home. This natural occurence turns a sheltered tidal pool into an effervescent slice of heaven, and as the waves break to form this phenomenon, you can sit and enjoy the beauty from your balcony at Evening Star Villas.
Snorkeling and Scuba Trips

Whale Watching
From mid-January through March, the annual migration of the majestic humpback whale includes passing through the waters just off Jost Van Dyke. Those who are lucky enough to spot them have learned why one of their nicknames is the acrobat of the sea. Another popular nickname is songsters of the sea, a reference to the humpback’s unique musical talents.
Boat Charters
Uncle Wendel offers boat charters based out of Jost Van Dyke. He is located next to One Love Beach Bar in White Bay. Ask anyone you meet for Uncle Wendel.
Dining Out
There are several restaurants we suggest you try while staying on Jost.
Sydney’s Peace and Love in Little Harbour offers a fresh lobster dinner. Today “Peace & Love” is one of the most successful businesses in the B.V.I. The restaurant was built in 1973 by Mr. Sidney Hendricks and run today by his family.
Corsairs specializes in seafood, Tex-Mex with a caribbean flavor, and Northern Italian dishes.
Make sure to try the painkiller, a smooth blend of rum, cream of coconut, pineapple and orange juice. According to legend, the painkiller was invented at the Soggy Dollar Bar in the 1970′s.
On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, head to One Love Beach Bar, for live music.
Foxy’s Taboo is located on the eastern tip of Jost and boasts a relaxing atmosphere and an amazing setting.
Foxy’s Bar in Great Harbour offers nightly dancing. Foxy’s is home to several of the biggest parties of the year and is the place to be on Old Years Night. Foxy’s also serves lunch and dinner.
